Local Tax Firm Wins Best of State for the 2nd Time in 3 Years

North Ogden, UT- Pack Tax began seven years ago out of necessity. Kristy Pack had just had her third baby and the tax firm she worked for no longer offered the flexibility she needed for her growing family. She ventured out on her own with a mission: make tax prep accessible and affordable for regular, everyday people.
Fast-forward to today where Kristy has not only amassed success at one Pack Tax location but has opened several others across Utah and even one in Mississippi! With the unique vision that there was a need to bridge the gap between inadequate tax software and expensive CPAs. And because of this, they were recently awarded Best of State for Accounting (June 10, 2025.)
With Kristy at the helm, Pack Tax is now a well-oiled machine, able to get a tax return done in 20 minutes, with unparalleled accuracy, and a business model that offers a family-first mentality. She employs mostly women and has been awarded for her championing-women business model.
Kristy and the rest of the crew believe taxes don’t have to be scary or hard. They strive to help you understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. Each Pack Tax location even has a playroom (and snacks!) so you can bring the kids!
With 6 ribbon cuttings under her belt, Pack Tax is looking forward to the future. With grand ideas of even more locations and online shopping carts full of toys for children to enjoy in future playrooms, she can’t wait to show Utah, and the world, her vision of tax prep, and how FUN and EASY it can be!
