Frequently Asked Questions

“How much do you charge?”

We price based on the complexity of your return and forms required. We’ll provide an exact quote after revising your organizer and prior return, but we are always cheaper than traditional CPA firms. Guaranteed.

“The IRS sent me a letter — what do I do?”

Upload it to TaxDome immediately or email it to us. Never ignore an IRS notice; most are simple fixes.

“Where’s my refund?”

Check irs.gov/refunds or use the IRS2Go app. Refunds typically take 21 days for e-filed returns, 6-8 weeks for paper.

“I can’t find my W-2s/1099s — what do I do?”

Ask your employer or payer first. If still missing, we can pull a Wage & Income Transcript from the IRS (takes a few days).

“Do you offer a military discount?”

Yes. We offer a $20 discount to all active duty military members.

“What information & documents are needed for new business accounts?”

Business Name, Address, EIN, Phone, Email. We need the owners name, address, SSN and ownership percents.

“What do I need for my tax appointment?”

For your tax refund appointment, please bring a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) and Social Security cards or ITIN letters for you, your spouse, and any dependents. You’ll also need W-2s, 1099s, last year’s tax return, bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit, and any IRS letters you’ve received.

“What do I need for my trust & estate tax appointment?”

For a trust or estate tax refund appointment, make sure to bring your court-certified appointment paperwork (Letters Testamentary). If there was no court appointment, you’ll need Form 1310. Please also bring the decedent’s Social Security number, final tax return, an EIN if needed, and any applicable will or trust documents.
